Last week, Year 1 students' focus during their Literacy lessons was to produce a comic strip on an environmental theme as part of the Global Campus Comic Book competition.
To set the scene we read the book 'Michael Recycle' about a recycling superhero. Ms Vera showed us some of her comic and superhero collection.
We explored different environmental issues and the children chose plastic ocean pollution, litter and saving trees as their focus areas. They developed the characters themselves and made their own comic strips.

Year 9 have been showing their green fingers/thumbs by trying to germinate cress seeds under various conditions, to see what is important for the seed growth.
There was more basketball on Saturday. This time our U14 Girls A and B teams had their DVAC Festival here at BISB.
