In Roots and Shoots CCA we have been making herb seed recycled paper.
First, we had to shred and blend the paper scraps with water into a paste. We added some different coloured paper, some herb seeds and then placed the paste onto some mesh to drain the water out and pressed it flat. We then cut the paper into shapes to give as gifts or cards.
As well as making quite a lot of mess “We have learnt to express our creativity whilst helping the environment” (Tiffani Macgillivray, Year 7). We are looking forward to a new project next term and invite those who bought our seed paper to send us pictures of any seedlings!
