Year 4 were fortunate to welcome Anita Ugyan, the first Hungarian woman to climb Mount Everest, to our school on Wednesday. Anita spoke to the children about her real-life experiences climbing a number of the world’s highest peaks.
Anita’s talk was both informative and inspirational. It helped give the children more insight into how dedicated you need to be to get to the top of a mountain such as Everest. Anita’s visit tied in with our Year 4 topic, Adventurers and Explorers and will also help to give context and content to the children’s adventure-themed story writing.
