There has been a wonderful buzz around Primary School in anticipation of our Primary Poetry Competition. Each student in Years 1-6 has had the opportunity to learn a poem to perform to their class. Semi-finals were held as year groups, with the finals being held on the basketball court on Tuesday morning for Years 4-6 and in the afternoon for Years 1-3.
The finalists performed to an entranced audience and a panel of judges, comprising of Mr Dyer, Ms Pickering and Ms Corrighan (Year 4-6 Competition) and Ms James, Ms Sudlow and Ms Scaramella (Year 1-3 Competition). The quality of the performances was extremely high and the judges have a very difficult decision to make.
These results will be announced in the Primary Assembly on Monday; please stay tuned for the results in next week’s newsletter.
Well done to our finalists and good luck to the judges!
