On Monday, Year 6 embarked on the first day of their Adventure Week. Monday meant taking a trip to Budapest Evezos Egyesulet to experience dragon boat racing along a stretch of the Danube.
Suitably dressed and equipped for the warm weather, students were shown how this type of boat racing was done. The excellent instructors explained that success meant teamwork and using the oars in a uniform rhythm.
Not so easy a task, but made more possible by the crew listening to the drumbeat played by one nominated student who sat at the front of the boat. The day saw boat races between classes and sporting activities on land.
A very successful start for all to the week’s activities.
