It has been a really good season this term, one filled with many training sessions and our first games in well over a year. The girls have risen to each challenge and performed to the best of their abilities, applying different skills and new formations on a full-sized football pitch.
To say they had pre-match nerves was an understatement. We came through the other side with a 2-0 defeat to AISB, but gained a better understanding of what we can achieve together. We conceded our two goals in the first half, so during the halftime break, we analysed our performance and areas for improvement. In the second half, our performance was more cohesive and we nearly found a breakthrough by having a few shots at their goal. It may have been a defeat by the scoreline, but we walked away from this fixture with our heads held high, proud of our performance.
