Our current topic in Art is Pointillism. This topic took lots of patience and effort, but it was all worth it in the end. At first, we experimented with mixing colours using small dots, and after finishing that, we started working on our main project, painting a landscape. We used primary colours - and brown - dots to create the effect of different colours to match the reference.
Another significant thing we did, was creating shapes with the dots, using smaller brushes, while using larger pieces of cloth for the sky. Some of the paintings also had much smaller details such as flowers and cactuses, we did very well even with the smaller parts. After finishing the landscape, we started using a pen for pointillism, but that project is not done yet, however we’re making great progress. Overall, this was a very interesting topic and we had lots of fun taking part in it.
