On Tuesday 15th February, Year 3 got dressed up and enjoyed an experiential day of art, fact-finding and science investigations related to Ancient Egypt. Students had the opportunity to investigate how a mummy is preserved using salt and how to make their own papyrus paper to write using hieroglyphics.
Each class had a variety of fun activities all morning, followed by the opportunity to visit each others class exhibitions that included paintings, 3D models, clay work and other fascinating facts. We ended the day with an Ancient Egypt costume parade and dance. Thank you to all our students and parents who helped with costumes and made our day unforgettable.
