On Wednesday 18th May, Year 5 had a special day with a visit to Budapest Retro Café and Memento Park. It marks the completion of our History topic Changes, which looked at the World from 1945 to the 1990s.
The students loved the hands-on experience of looking at artefacts from the period when Hungary was a communist state. They also found looking at the communist statues removed from the city to Memento Park interesting, thinking and reflecting on how times have changed. The students were beautifully behaved and a credit to the school, as always. It is great to be able to return to educational visits like this as they are a crucial part of a rounded education, creating unforgettable memories.
