This term, Year 5 has been exploring how composers have used space and the solar system as an inspiration to compose music. One composer, Gustav Holst, was an English composer who wrote an orchestral work of music called "The Planet Suite".
Each movement was named after a planet and the Roman God it represented. Year 5 has been exploring the music of Gustav Holst and created their own class "Planet Suites" including a rocket launch class performance of Strauss's "Also Sprach Zarathustra".

Following the postponement of Journey’s End before Christmas, we are pleased to announce the new dates.
Year 9 have been showing their green fingers/thumbs by trying to germinate cress seeds under various conditions, to see what is important for the seed growth.
There was more basketball on Saturday. This time our U14 Girls A and B teams had their DVAC Festival here at BISB.
