2022 marks the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen's reign. All across the UK, people are getting ready to celebrate and, to join in the festivities, members of the BISB community have been busy crocheting for the past few weeks. The result is now on display in the Atrium: 70 metres of colourful bunting.
Queen Elizabeth II is the first British monarch to reach this milestone and to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. Over a long weekend starting 2nd June 2022, there will be many street parties, equestrian shows, parades, and fundraising events all over the UK to commemorate this special time in history. For more information about what is happening in the UK, click here.
And with our very own colourful BISB bunting, why not get into the mood and celebrate all things British next weekend. Put up your own bunting at home, roll out the picnic blankets and enjoy a strawberry scone (or two!)
I would like to thank some very special people who helped to make these beautiful triangles: Ms Bea Bocz, Ms Aniko Czimer, Ms Ildiko Horvath, Ms Marta Kiss.
