As part of our CCA program, the Junior Changemakers ventured into the forest to explore, identify and learn about the different plant species that grow there. They took part in a scavenger hunt, while also doing a little rubbish clearing along the way! While looking at the topic of sustainability in this CCA and finding a way to support the current strains put upon our planet, we want help students to connect with nature and help foster and develop a love for the world we live in as well as give them a sense of empowerment and agency to practically implement what they are discovering. This will be a regular part of the schedule, looking at how this habitat changes throughout the seasons and learning to appreciate and respect all that lives in it.
