DVAC Vars G VB Fest Team
BISB Wolves newsroom The U19 Boys Football team continued their excellent start to their 7-a-side season following up on their previous 8-1 win against ISB with a 9-3 victory against ICSB.

On Saturday three of BISB's Volleyball teams took part in the season-opening DVAC (Danube Valley Athletic Conference) Festivals and have shown excellent performances in these non-competitive events. The U19 Boys have visited Vienna International School and challenged three of their rivals with mature gameplay and excellent teamwork. The U19 Varsity Girls attended the Festival hosted by ICSB (International Christian School Budapest) and had their first three games played in the season with success displaying creativity and resilience over the course of their three games.

BISB hosted the U19 Junior Varsity Girls event with success, welcoming eight international schools from the Central-European region. Our small but dedicated group of girls showed outstanding performances and displayed passion and a competitive spirit. BISB will host the DVAC U14 Middle School A-pool Football Festival this coming Saturday 1st October on Sports Fields 1 and 2, while our U14 Girls Footballers will travel to AISV (American International School Vienna) to attend the Festival in Austria. The U19 Girls and Boys Football teams will stay in the country and are looking forward to visiting AISB (American International School Budapest) with four teams anticipating a good atmosphere and high spirit.

A big thank you to all the coaches, officials and members of our community for making these events and trips such a success and providing lifelong memories for our student-athletes.

Go WOLVES!

The U19 Boys Football team continued their excellent start to their 7-a-side season following up on their previous 8-1 win against ISB with a 9-3 victory against ICSB. The boys showed good character and resilience to help finish off the game and I was pleased to see them transitioning the ball quickly from defence to attack with some incisive passes and excellent interchanges.

Team captain Tim scored four goals, Benji and Alexei both respectively scored two and Bardhyl scored one.

This weekend we take two teams to the DVAC Festival at AISB where we aim to gain more 11-a-side experience in preparation for the Varsity tournament in November. Well done to all involved in the U19 Wolves Boys Football Programme.
