On Saturday the U19 Girls Basketball team travelled to ICSB to compete in their end of season DVAC tournament.
Despite facing some tough competition, the girls played with determination and resilience leaving everything out on court. Defensively the girls showed organisation and excellent anticipation of play to deny many baskets and some impressive outside shooting and rebounding kept the girls in the running for first place.
Unfortunately an eventual loss to ICSB left the girls finishing the tournament in second.
Whilst the girls were disappointed not to finish in first place, they can be incredibly proud of their performance.
The girls return to the training court this week to refine their offensive plays in preparation for their final tournament of the season: the U19 NAGGE Basketball Competition hosted at BISB this Friday and Saturday. Best of luck to all the basketball players participating in this event.

On Tuesday evening we welcomed the BBIS Girls' Football team to play in a Festival of Football celebrating the year so far. The whole event was played in a friendly and fun environment where the girls from both teams could show off their talents that they have been working on in training sessions.

This week in English, Year 8 shared their completed magazines in a collaborative press event. There was a lovely buzz in the classrooms, and we were very impressed with both the quality of the work produced and the professionalism with which they pitched their final products to each other and the Year 12 Muse students who came along as well.
