Our new blog from the English Department aims to encourage parents, students, and teachers to fall in love again with reading and the power of books. Each week, we will recommend a new read and give you the opportunity to glimpse an extract of the book to tickle your tastebuds. Reading really does set you free and will help you to undertsand the complex world we live in.
"When I look back, I am so impressed again with the life-giving power of literature. If I were a young person today, trying to gain a sense of myself in the world, I would do that again by reading, just as I did when I was young." – Maya Angelou
