You continue to help make our School Uniform more sustainable and counteract the harms done by the fashion industry.
It was another big Sale and Exchange this year as well! A whopping 565kg of uniform was processed and put out on display by our heroic volunteers, a record for us by far!
195 customers came out to shop sustainably of which 58 were Exchangers using vouchers they received for donating Uniform to the Sale. We recirculated 238kg of BISB Uniform over these two days! That is the Carbon savings equivalent of 399.66 primary uniforms kept out of landfills or 57 cars kept off the road for 1 day!
The September Sale Series raised 1,132,000HUF. These proceeds will be reinvested into the Sustainable Uniform Stewardship Project as well as other sustainable projects around School. One recent example, over the summer the Project purchased a fully weatherized gardening shed to store all the Uniform giving us more space and more independence to run the Sales.
As always a big, big thank you to our team of parent volunteers without whom these Sales would not be possible. They sorted, washed, carried and displyed the immense 565 kilograms of uniforms that you saw on offer at this sale! It is an exhausting task!
If you missed our sale or didn’t use all your shopping vouchers, our next Sale will be in the winter. Your exchange vouchers are valid for one academic year; so there is still time to join our movement and help us make our community’s uniform more sustainable.
Come join our growing movement as a donor, sustainable shopper or volunteer!
