Dungeons and Dragons Day in Year 2

If you were in school on Monday you might have bumped into a lord or lady, a knight, a princess or even a dragon!

The Year 2 children had a very enjoyable day as part of their Dungeons and Dragons topic. The day began with a visit to the Cookery Room over in the Li building, where the children made real medieval style bread. The children displayed fantastic collaboration skills, mixing the flour, yeast and water together before kneading it and leaving it to rise.

As part of their Art lessons, the Year 2 children made swords which they later painted and practiced using in 'Knight School' with Miss Tonge. The children also made shields and enjoyed talking about the medieval times.

The fun filled day ended with a medieval banquet during which the children enjoyed eating the bread they made, as well as other foods.
