OUR INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM AT BSG

At our private Primary School of British heritage in Guangzhou, our students distinguish themselves by how they take initiative in their learning, increase their responsibility, and become inquisitive. They express themselves; apply knowledge through practical tasks and problem solving; build their personal and social skills; and mature with confidence that comes with continued self-discipline, resilience, and commitment.

How We Assess & Track Progress

All Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students have a baseline assessment at the start of the academic year. Using this information, our teachers predict students' attainment for the end of the year and help set individual targets for English and Numeracy.

These targets are shared with parents, and students then work towards them in class. Gifted and talented students can also be identified at this point, as well as those who need extra support.

As the year progresses, we assess your child in the following ways:

At regular intervals throughout the term, we ask our teachers to review each student's attainment and identify patterns and trends. Teachers then tailor their lesson planning to individual students’ strengths and areas of development to ensure each student makes optimal progress.

INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED QUALIFICATIONS

We know every child is unique, so our talented teachers build up the individual strengths of your child, creating projects that help them achieve internationally recognised qualifications from the UK. These impressive qualifications will help them discover their own pathways to the world's best universities.
