BSG SUMMER CAMP

Led by our British School teachers, Summer School continues to develop students' love of learning through July with a range of exciting indoor and outdoor activities.

The British School of Guangzhou is offering a Summer School in 2024. A focus on English language, science, computing, sports, art and drama activities will be held over 2 weeks from June 24th – July 5th, during the school’s summer holidays. BSG teachers and staff will run these specially designed courses all delivered in English, for children aged 3-12.  

 

We are pleased to be offering English lessons which will enable your children to rapidly acquire language skills within a fun yet structured curriculum. Children can attend for a period of 1 or 2 weeks. The curriculum will incorporate English lessons as well as a myriad of extra-curricular activities including science, outdoor and indoor sports activities, STEAM, art & crafts and drama. Children will work in classes with students of similar age and language ability e.g., EY, KS1, KS2.

 (All programmes subject to change and dependent on sufficient student numbers and ages).

 

A TYPICAL DAY (for example purposes only). CLASSES RUN FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY

REGISTRATION:     9.00-9.10AM

LESSON 1:               9.10-10.00AM: English

LESSON 2:               10.00-10.50AM: Sports (sports hall or astro)

BREAK:                   10.50-11.10AM

LESSON 3:               11.10-12.00PM: English

LUNCH:                   12.00-12.40PM

LESSON 4:               12:40-1.30PM: Art and craft activities linked to English

LESSON 5:               1.30-2.20PM: Computing/Drama

LESSON 6:               2:20-3:10PM: English

PLENARY:               3.10-3.15PM

 

FEES

Places are limited and are based on a first-come-first served basis, and reserved only upon full payment. Cancellations and refunds are subject to a RMB 500 administration fee and require a minimum of 1 month’s notice.

1 week: RMB 4,800                                                             2 weeks: RMB 8,600                                 

Completed registration before 15th May will benefit from a 5% discount.

Please note that fees include lunch and registration fee.

 

SCHOOL BUSES

There will be a limited summer school bus service, running to and from the following sites:

·      Favorview Palace

·      Zhujiang New Town

·      CITIC Plaza

This service is subject to an additional fee of approx. 600 RMB / child / week (exact costs depending on numbers, no refunds). Parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up from these points.
