In two dazzling ceremonies, in front of proud parents and staff, BSG Secondary students received academic, sporting and community service awards last week, accompanied by virtuoso musical performances by BSG students and teachers. Recognizing achievement and progress in arts, sciences, languages, humanities and mathematics, the awards were hard-earned and the winners represented their school and their families with great distinction. Our sports awards recognized boys’ and girls’ teams for volleyball, basketball and football, and many of the season’s inter-school trophies were on display. The British School of Guangzhou offers a holistic education which provides breadth and challenge across the curriculum and ‘special awards’ were presented to students who have excelled in every area, including the Principal’s award for outstanding all-round achievement, presented to Branden for Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and Rouyu for Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) and Year 12. Congratulations to all our worthy winners!
Over the May break, 19 of our amazing students travelled to Shanghai to compete in the prestigious 3-day ASEEDER Science Carnival, joining top talent from across China.

What a fantastic three days in Chengdu for the Nord Anglia China Region Multi-Sports Festival, hosted by Léman International School Chengdu.
Last Saturday, over 180 guests gathered at The Ritz Carlton hotel for a memorable night of fundraising, fun, and giving back. Guests traveled from Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, dressed in their best black tie and ball gowns, ready to support a great cause, Wilber Foundation.
