On Friday evening, The British School of Guangzhou hosted one of the most anticipated events of the term — our first Halloween Costume Party, welcoming nearly 600 parents and students to a night filled with creativity, laughter and spooky surprises.
From iconic characters like the Addams Family and Wizard of Oz to Minions, zombies, fairies and princesses, our school grounds were transformed into a vibrant Halloween scene. Families came dressed to impress, showing off their most imaginative and playful costumes.

The celebration began with a screening ofCoco, a beloved children’s film that set the tone for a heartwarming evening.
Children enjoyed a variety of game stations organised by our fantastic Parent Support Group (PSG) volunteers.
Meanwhile, brave guests lined up for the Horror Maze, hosted by our friends at GWIC, where zombies and vampires gave everyone a fright — and lots of laughs!
The costume parade was a highlight, with prizes awarded for:
As the night continued, the main ground turned into a lively disco party, thanks to our DJ and food vendors who kept the energy high and the snacks flowing.

A huge thank you to our PSG team for decorating the school with stunning Halloween backdrops, and to Guangzhou Women International Club (GWIC) for their incredible support. Events like these show the strength of our international school community in Guangzhou, where families come together to celebrate, connect and create lasting memories.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Halloween celebration at BSG!
