Once a Rhino, Always a Rhino: BSG Alumni Meet & Greet in London

BSG alumni reunited in London for a joyful Meet & Greet, celebrating lifelong connections, global community, and the lasting impact of a BSG education.

“Once a Rhino, Always a Rhino” is something we say often at BSG, and it genuinely reflects how we see our community. Students may graduate, but they never stop being part of the BSG family.

On 21 February, our Principal travelled to London to host a BSG Alumni Meet & Greet. It was a simple idea — bring former students together — but the afternoon quickly became something much more meaningful.

We were delighted to welcome 29 alumni, including one who travelled from Poland just to attend. What stood out immediately was how easily everyone reconnected, not only with each other, but with BSG itself. Friendships picked up where they left off, and conversations quickly turned to university life, careers, and memories from their school years.

Some alumni are still studying, while others are already working. All of them spoke openly about their time at BSG and the role it played in preparing them for what came next.

Between them, the group represented over 232 years at BSG, more than 300 GCSE results, nearly 120 A Levels, and countless experiences in sports, music, and competitions. These numbers matter, but what mattered more was hearing how those years helped build confidence, independence, and ambition.

This was our second alumni event this academic year, following our gathering in Seoul in October. Our next reunion will take place in Hong Kong this March. Seeing former students reconnect across different countries is a strong reminder of BSG’s long history as an international school and the lasting value of the education we provide.

Wherever they are in the world, our Rhinos remain connected — and we are always proud to welcome them back.
