Last Friday, The British School of Guangzhou proudly celebrated the graduation of our Reception children as they completed the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This milestone marks an important step in every child’s educational journey. It reflects not only what they have learned, but who they have become.

A Year of Growth, Confidence, and Discovery

Over the past year, our Reception children have made strong progress across all areas of learning. Through a balance of structured teaching and purposeful play, they explored new ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and built essential skills.

Alongside academic development, they strengthened the personal qualities that matter most for success in school and beyond. Confidence. Independence. Resilience. These are the foundations that support lifelong learning.

The Early Years Foundation Stage is a crucial period in a child’s development. It shapes how children approach learning, interact with others, and build confidence in their own abilities.
