Secondary Awards Ceremony 2026: Celebrating Progress, Character, and Excellence
On 17 June, we came together as a community to celebrate one of the most meaningful moments of the academic year. Our Secondary Awards Ceremony marked the close of a remarkable year and gave us the chance to recognise the progress, dedication, and character of our students.
It was a proud and uplifting occasion. Families filled the room with warmth and encouragement as students stepped forward to be recognised. The sense of shared achievement was clear. This is what makes BSG special.
Our Heads of Year reflected on the journey of each cohort. From Year 7 through to our graduating class, every year group has grown in its own way. Students have challenged themselves in lessons, embraced opportunities beyond the classroom, and shown commitment across the full life of the school.

This year has been rich in experiences. House competitions, sports fixtures, performances, trips, and even everyday moments at breaktime have all shaped our students. We have seen them grow in confidence, resilience, and curiosity. They now ask deeper questions, think more independently, and approach challenges with determination.
This progress belongs to the whole community. Students, teachers, and families have worked together to make it happen. Every student should feel proud of what they have achieved.
Alongside this shared success, we also recognise individuals who have shown exceptional commitment and enthusiasm for learning. Our subject awards celebrate students who have achieved consistently high academic standards, as well as those who have made significant progress through sustained effort and engagement.
We also celebrated the BSG Award, which recognises participation in enrichment activities. Students build their profile across four key strands: Globally Connected, Academic, Wellbeing, and Creativity. As they earn credits, they move through Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. This approach encourages balance, personal growth, and meaningful engagement beyond the classroom.
A special congratulations goes to our Year Leader Award recipients, who have gone above and beyond in their contribution to their year group:

We also extend our congratulations to:

Finally, we thank our parents and families. Your support is the foundation of our students’ success. You are a vital part of the BSG community, and we are grateful for everything you do.
As we close the year, we celebrate not only achievement, but growth, effort, and character. We look forward to seeing what our students will achieve next.
