The British School of Guangzhou annually raises around 200,000 RMB for charity, here are some of the things that we have supported in recent years:

Hopeful Hearts

Hopeful Hearts is a non-profit charity based in Nanjing, Chengdu and Guangzhou. Their mission is to raise money and fund life-saving heart surgery for children of low-income Chinese families. This is a new charity that the British School of Guangzhou will be raising funds throughout the year for. Hopeful Hearts Guangzhou mainly receive cases involving new-born babies who require major heart surgery, The British School of Guangzhou will be working closely with this charity to help fund these life changing surgeries. Once Hopeful Hearts receive a child in need we will be able to arrange visits to the cardiology department to see the benefits of your donations.  Heart surgery for a new-born baby costs around 80,000-100,000 RMB. Hopeful Hearts will donate up to 30,000 rmb per case which means they are able to offer their support to more children and help to save more lives.
