With over 25 years of experience in education, Catherine brings extensive leadership expertise from both the UK and international school sectors. A qualified Geography teacher, she has held senior leadership positions across primary, secondary, and all-through schools, including Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and Assistant Headteacher roles in the United Kingdom, Italy, and theUAE.
Catherine holds a BA (Hons) in Geography, a PGCE with Distinction, an MA in Leadership and Management in Education, and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). She is also an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), teacher coach, and school improvement leader.
Throughout her career, Catherine has led significant school improvement initiatives, including raising student outcomes, improving attendance and wellbeing, strengthening teaching and learning, and successfully guiding schools through inspection and accreditation processes. She is passionate about creating positive school cultures where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their potential.
As a Geography specialist, Catherine enjoys helping students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them and encouraging them to think critically about global issues, sustainability, and the future of our planet. She strongly believes that education should develop not only academic success but also character, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Catherine is particularly interested in instructional coaching, student wellbeing, sustainability education, and developing student leadership opportunities. She is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive and make a positive contribution to their community.
Outside school, Catherine enjoys travelling, exploring different cultures,padel, walking, skiing, and spending time with her family. Having lived and worked in several countries, she values the rich international perspectives that students bring to school life and is passionate about preparing young people to become confident global citizens.
