Students across the Secondary School recently came together for the highly anticipated BSY Secondary Spelling Bee 2026, an event that celebrated the power of language while encouraging students to challenge themselves in a supportive and engaging environment. The competition showcased not only impressive spelling abilities but also the confidence, determination, and resilience that are essential for success both inside and outside the classroom.

“Looking back, my IGCSE journey was both rewarding and full of opportunities to grow.” Following the release of this year’s IGCSE results, we spoke with Min Piti, one of our Year 11 students about their learning experience at the British School Yangon and how the support they received helped them grow and achieve success.

The BSY Bears have kicked off this year’s MISAC season in impressive fashion, with both our U14 Basketball Team and U19 Volleyball Team demonstrating outstanding teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship on and off the court.

Our Year 7 and 8 students recently embarked on an exciting residential trip to Kanchanaburi, where they challenged themselves through a series of outdoor adventures designed to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience.

The British School Yangon recently hosted its much anticipated production of Pantastic – The Peter Pan Musical, and the evening was nothing short of spectacular. Families, friends, and staff gathered to celebrate the creativity and confidence of our students, who brought the timeless story of Peter Pan to life with remarkable energy and imagination.

The third MIT Challenge at BSY was an inspiring showcase of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Students were tasked with reimagining how buildings could withstand extreme environments, pushing them to think beyond traditional design and into the future of resilience.
