When asked about his motivations for becoming a psychologist, Toan answered that he was very interested in developing this thought on wellbeing. He added, by balancing emotion and stress release play an important role to bring us a better life which is happier and comfortable. Regarding to the goal of wellbeing care for teenagers, Vinh Toan is working hard and hopes to apply the knowledge and experiences he is gaining in the UK into Vietnamese life later on in his career.

To make the dream of being a Manchester University student come true, Toan had a hard-working and memorable journey at BVIS. The process of applying to universities such as Cambridge and personal essays are the most important elements in the assessment.

“Mr. Luke Curran –Head of Safeguarding, Welfare and Guidance is the one who guided and helped me to correct and complete my personal essay. Moreover, he gave me suggestions to write a persuasive essay which expressed my opinions and personality. My international A Level grades also helped me successfully attend my dream university. Thanks to the effective teaching and learning in the BVIS classrooms and through the wholehearted support of all the BVIS staff, I could achieve high A Level exam results,” Vinh Toan said.

A message to BVIS community

Vinh Toan also would like to send a message to younger BVIS students, “Be yourself, never give up, do not fear failure, and always care about your wellbeing. Failure is not a scary thing, learn from it instead. Do not fall into negative thoughts because none of us is perfect. However, set up a clear goal and try hard to achieve it. Your efforts will be worth it.”
