GREAT JOURNEYS START WITH SMALLS STEPS AT BVIS HCMC
During the 2023-2024 academic year, our community proudly sponsored 15 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, coming from schools in the provinces of Tra Vinh and Tay Ninh. This number has significantly increased compared to the 6 scholarships that BVIS sponsored in the previous academic year.
This wonderful news is a clear testament to the solidarity and warm-heartedness of the BVIS community in creating opportunities for all children to attend school. Simultaneously, it is also a way for the school to educate students about the surrounding issues, helping them to develop empathy and a spirit of positive contribution to society.
We sincerely thank all parents, students, and staff for your continuous support and partnership in fundraising activities since the beginning of the academic year, such as creating unique BVIS-themed calendars, charity raffle at Christmas Fun Day, selling Tet cards, selling tickets for the MamaMia production, and many other activities. The total amount that BVIS has raised this year is 113,534,141 VND.
We especially commend all students in the Community Leaders who truly shone with their leadership abilities, teamwork, organisation, and project management under the guidance of Ms. Tam and Mr. Odhran, Community Coordinators, who have significantly contributed to the success of this meaningful activity. We also thank the Saigon Children's Charity for helping us to deliver these scholarships to the children.
This is also one of BVIS's efforts this academic year in focusing on supporting the surrounding community in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 “Quality Education” because BVIS believes that every child deserves access to quality education, and we will continue to strive towards this goal in the future.
