JOIN OUR EYFS & PRIMARY OPEN DAY ON 29/05/2025 AT BVIS HCMC NOW!
Congratulations to all Year 10 students who joined the International Award Bronze Adventurous Journey this year. All the students were amazing and demonstrated great enthusiasm despite the challenges they faced.
This year's journey lasted five days, from Saturday, January 18th to Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025, with the official challenge taking place over three days. The students covered over 30 Kilometers of steep mountainous terrain, many carrying between quarter to a third of their body weight. They carried food, cooking equipment, tents, sleeping bags and sleeping mats. They all stepped outside their comfort zones and did us all proud. I am delighted to confirm that all those who completed the Adventurous Journey this year have passed this element of the award. Parents should be incredibly proud of their achievements.
Leading the trip, Mr. James Webb expressed his immense pride as all the students participating in this year's journey successfully conquered this challenging part of the award. Our students demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination throughout the demanding expedition, right before the Lunar New Year holiday.
Mr. Webb also hopes that parents feel proud of their children's efforts and remarkable achievements. He shared a quote from Kurt Hahn, the founder of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, for reflection: "There is more in us than we know. If we can be made to see it, perhaps for the rest of our lives, we will be unwilling to settle for anything less."
Wishing all the students and their families a peaceful and memorable Lunar New Year holiday!
