Congratulations to Mr. Iain Hope on his appointment as Head of Primary for the 2025-2026 academic year at BVIS

We’re delighted to announce that Mr. Iain Hope will officially join our community this August as the new Head of Primary for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Mr. Iain is an experienced educational leader who has served at leading international schools in the UK, Qatar, Jakarta, and most recently as Head of Primary in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree, a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, and a certificate in Compassionate Systems Thinking from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) — a strong foundation for fostering a nurturing and effective learning environment.

During this transition, Ms. Mary McAloon, our current Head of Primary, is preparing to embark on an exciting new journey at the British International School (BIS) Ho Chi Minh City. She will continue to work closely with Mr. Iain to ensure a smooth handover. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Mary for her invaluable contributions over the past five years and wish her every success in her new role.

With his passion and expertise, he will help further develop a creative, supportive, and dynamic learning environment where every student can thrive and confidently pursue their aspirations.
