Last Friday 26/09/2025, Mr. Toby Bate – Head of Secondary at BVIS HCMC – had the honor of presenting at the HCMC Business Conference 2025, hosted by the Young Businesspeople Association of Ho Chi Minh City (YBA HCM) and the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Women Executives & Entrepreneurs (HAWEE). As part of the panel discussion “Resilient Businesses in the Age of AI: Strengthening Inner Power – Accelerating Brand – Shaping the Future,” he dedicated his session to exploring the applications of AI in Education.
With knowledge and expertise gained from more than 18 years of international teaching and leadership across Asia and the Middle East, Mr. Toby opened up a vision of education in a new era, shaped by the rapid growth of AI.
In his talk, he highlighted the transformative power of AI in supporting teaching and learning – streamlining processes and freeing valuable time for both educators and students. At the same time, he acknowledged the current limitations of AI, affirming that empathy, trust, moral standards, and our shared humanities remain at the heart of education.
Mr Toby’s key message was “AI is not here to replace us, but to unlock human potential”. Guided by this belief, we continue to lead in adopting innovative educational technologies while delivering a world-class curriculum and meaningful learning experiences that prepare our students to thrive in the future.
