Founded in 2011, BVIS was born from the deep educational passion of Mr. Maurice and Mrs. Rosie Nguyễn – the founders and leaders of the prestigious BIS Group of Schools. Following the success of British International School Ho Chi Minh City in District 2, they recognised the desire of many Vietnamese parents who sought an international education for their children while ensuring they remained connected to their cultural roots.

It was this understanding, combined with their aspiration to nurture a generation of confident, resilient, and grounded young people, that inspired Mr. Maurice and Mrs. Rosie to establish a distinctive British-style educational model at BVIS – one that embraces and celebrates Vietnamese traditions.

During the conversation, alongside sharing his heartfelt personal journey and the reasons behind founding the school, Mr. Maurice also praised the voiceover performance for the character Lua in The Heron Who Was Lost at Home, which Phuong Anh contributed to as part of BVIS’s 15th anniversary celebration.
