WHAT PARENTS AND STUDENTS SAY
BEFORE YOU VISIT
- What will we actually experience at the Open House?
You'll experience a Science or Art session, meet teachers and students, explore the campus and discover how the Swiss Maturité and French Baccalaureate are taught. You'll also have the opportunity to discuss your child's academic needs, subject choices and university plans directly with our teams.
- We're not sure which diploma is right for our child. Should we still come?
- Absolutely. That's one of the best reasons to attend. Our teachers will explain the differences in curriculum, languages, subject choices and university opportunities, helping you understand which pathway may best suit your child's strengths and ambitions.
- Our child is doing well at their current school. Is it still worth visiting?
Yes. An Open House is an opportunity to explore a different educational environment without any obligation to make a change. You'll see how our classes work, meet the teachers and learn about the individual academic guidance available at Collège du Léman.
- Can my child join from a French or Swiss public school?
Yes. Our Admissions and academic teams will review your child's current curriculum, academic progress and language background to help identify a suitable entry point and support the transition.
- My child is only 11–14. Is this Open House relevant?
Yes. This Open House is designed for families with children aged 11 and above, including those who are not yet approaching their diploma years. It's an opportunity to understand the Secondary journey and the choices available as your child progresses.
- Why earn an American High School Diploma alongside the Swiss Maturité or French Bac?
- Earning an American High School Diploma alongside the Swiss Maturité or French Baccalaureate gives students two internationally recognised qualifications. This can broaden their university options worldwide and provide greater flexibility in where and what they choose to study, subject to university entry requirements.
- Should we bring our child?
- Yes, we encourage it. Your child can take part in a session, meet teachers and students, and experience the school for themselves. Their impressions can help you make a more informed decision together.
- How much are tuition fees?
- Tuition fees depend on your child's year group and programme. Our Admissions team can explain the applicable fees and answer questions during your visit. You can also consult our tuition fees page before attending.
- What if we can’t attend on 19 November?
- You can arrange a personal visit at another time. Our Admissions team would be happy to introduce you to the school and discuss the available diploma pathways.
