Vanessa Nunes

Year 1 Teacher

I have been working at The British College of Brazil since it’s been open, in 2011. It is great to see how much the school has grown and developed throughout the years and how it still keeps its rich sense of community.

I was born in Sao Paulo but I lived great part of my life in a city in the countryside named Atibaia. There, in 2003, I was invited to teach English at the language school I studied at. That was when I realised teaching was really rewarding and my passion for supporting children to develop started to grow.

I graduated in Pedagogy to learn more about the teaching learning process and since then I have taken extra courses in Education to give me support to help our young learners to develop.

When I am not in school I enjoy having coffee with friends, cooking, going for a walk in parks and being in the countryside.
