Internationally-respected, the General Certificates of Secondary Education (GCSE) and International General Certificates of Secondary Education (IGCSE) are the most academically challenging courses currently on offer to 14-16 year old students worldwide.
A continuation of the English National Curriculum, the full two-year program features a combination of coursework and exam work. Students will generally take ten courses and upon passing are awarded qualifications in a full range of core subjects including languages, sciences, humanities, social sciences, arts and design and mathematics. Top universities around the world look to these qualifications as an extra benchmark of performance when considering applications.
At IGCSE, our students continue to significantly outperform UK national averages.
- 59% of all IGCSE exams taken achieved the highest levels of A* or A. This is compared to the UK average of 21%.
- The percentage of students achieving five A* or A grades at IGCSE is 58%, significantly outperforming the 2016 UK average of 12%.
We would also like to congratulate our teachers for another exceptional year. Your commitment to our students and school are evident in these high-reaching academic results. On behalf of the parents and school, we would like to extend our thanks for always challenging our students to achieve more than what they could have thought possible.
