The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is completed in a similar way to a university dissertation. The format is simple. Students independently plan, research and write-up their findings on a project of their choosing. This year, three Year 13 students took part; Marcelina Wojewska, Ann Yu and Hui Ying Chan. Marcelina's project focused on genetic engineering, Ann investigated the structural failure of buildings and Hui Ying evaluated the different approaches to fashion advertising. We are extremely pleased to acknowledge that all three projects were exceptional, with an external moderator from the exam board commenting very favourably on the high standard of work each student produced.
After the success of this year, we are pleased to announce the EPQ will be launched to all Year 12s in June 2017, adding yet another valuable option to the growing list of tools available to BSG graduates as they apply to the world’s top tertiary educational institutions.
