U14 Boys crowned champions in Guangzhou football tournament

BSG U14 Boys quickly put the disappointment of last week's league finals defeat to AISG behind them by claiming first place in the PRC U14 Football Tournament.

U14 Boys Football 2018/19 PRC Victory

Report by Mr. Slater, PE Teacher

BSG sailed through their group with an 11-1 victory over CIS and a 9-0 victory over ISNS to set up a final against AISG, who had pipped the boys to first place in the GZ League Final on Thursday in a tightly contested affair, which went all the way to extra time.

In the final, BSG started strongly and went ahead through a thunderous strike from Joshua Kim. AISG equalised early in the second half, however another powerful effort from Joshua Kim restored BSG’s lead. Tiger Zhou, playing in goal for the injured Tommy Yan, made some fantastic saves to keep BSG ahead, before Boyuan Xu ran onto a through ball from midfield to put the game beyond doubt.
