I have been teaching Psychology for over 20 years, and for most of that time I was the Head of Department at one of the largest and successful Psychology departments in the UK. When I left the department in 2016, the number of students enrolled on the A level course had grown from 140 to just under 500 students. Over the years I have taught all specifications of A level Psychology including OCR, Edexcel, AQA, Cambridge International, as well as the Extended Project Qualification, A level Sociology, and the IBDP module for Individuals in Society. I can honestly say that I enjoy teaching Psychology just as much today as I did some twenty years ago.
Since leaving the UK to teach internationally, I have taught A level Psychology and Key stage 3 Science in a Haileybury school in Kazakhstan, the Royal Alexandra and Albert boarding school in the UK, and most recently I was teaching IBDP Psychology and Science in a sister Nord Anglia school in Beijing.
What attracted me to BSG was that it was a perfect fit for all of my family. My wife will be the Primary Learning Support Lead, and my two daughters will also be taught here. We are all really looking forward to a new start here in an amazing school in Guangzhou.
