Our Boarding Houses

Our Boarding Houses each have an individual feel and character that suits the lives of the students who live there. Room standards are high with varying room sizes and configurations. Every effort is made to pair the right student to the right room.

In their rooms, students have:

  • A bed
  • A desk and study chair (in Secondary)
  • Storage space for books, clothes and personal items
  • A lockable cupboard or drawer
  • A combination safe for valuables
  • A bedside light
  • Connection to the internet

All rooms have toilet and shower facilities close by and many enjoy wonderful views. Students will be paired up with a roommate wherever possible. Sharing a room fosters important personal skills allowing them to share a truly international experience.

Students are encouraged to make their rooms feel homely whilst respecting the surroundings and style of the individual houses.

Communal areas

All houses have generous communal spaces, providing opportunities for boarders to interact socially, play games, or watch films. These spaces are also used for house assemblies and informal gatherings. All Houses have access to the fitness room and many social and sport areas.

Apart from the Primary students who have meals in their House, breakfast and evening meals, as well as all weekend meals are provided in the main dining hall by Collège du Léman’s professional culinary team. Lunches during the week are taken on campus with day students. Meals are important times to come together and discuss aspects of the day in a relaxed and friendly environment and there is an emphasis on a healthy balanced diet.

Students are encouraged to cook and may do so at reasonable times to be agreed with House Staff, using all of the resources available to them in the kitchen.

House and social events

Each Boarding House will generally conduct one social event per term. This is a good opportunity for the whole house to enjoy time together, away from school in a more relaxed environment. Past social events have included meals out, cinema trips, ice-skating, bowling and a water park trip.
