Executive Principal

After experiencing several years of teaching and boarding life in England, James moved across the English Channel to teach in schools in Switzerland and then France. On arrival at CDL in 1990 he was appointed as a chemistry teacher, in 1993 as Head of Science, in 2000 as High School Principal and in 2011 as Director of Secondary Studies before taking up his current post as Director of School Advancement.

Educated at the University of Exeter and the University of Cambridge, UK, James’ ongoing professional development led to the award of a Certificate of International School Leadership in 2002 followed by a Masters in Education in 2007.

James employs his deep interest in international education, fully comprehensive knowledge of CDL and desire to engage with students and colleagues alike to facilitate and help drive school improvement.
