Middle School is an exciting transition from Primary School to High School, from child to adolescent.
In a safe, happy and purposeful atmosphere, we encourage, monitor and support both the academic and the personal growth of every one of our students.
A French national, Mathieu was educated at the University of Ulster and the University of Bath, before being awarded his Masters in Teaching and Learning by the University of Leeds. Beginning his career as a Science teacher in the UK, he rapidly progressed into a leadership position within the school, before arriving to Collège du Léman in 2012.
With a background rooted in Science and Environmental Health, Mathieu’s technological experience and focus on sustainability feeds directly into our own ethos on innovative teaching styles. He entered into his current role as Middle School Principal in 2016, having shown exceptional leadership skills and a developed global perspective.
Attuned to the interdependent nature of a learning community, he believes that the key to a student-centric approach to education is staff performance and is dedicated to providing personalised support and consistent evaluation to each member of his team. In terms of structure, he actively promotes the use of differentiated pedagogical tools to enhance students’ progress, whilst directly building links with the local and global society.
