Dear Parents
You will recall that a short while ago I sent you the very positive parental feedback that we had received from the parental survey that was completed at the end of last year. There were also some areas of development that you had recommended for the school and we have been working hard and will continue to work on these areas that have been identified as needing further improvement. Today we will be launching our ‘You said, We did’ campaign that will outline some of the steps we have already taken in the school to address some of these key areas so that you as parents can be sure that we have listened and are taking action.

I was delighted to see so many parents attend the 2 coffee mornings on Thursday and Friday. It was one of the best turnouts I have seen and we hope that you found these sessions useful. The coffee mornings are proving to be a hugely successful way of communicating and educating parents on what we do here at BVIS and we shall continue to run these throughout the year.

On Tuesday and Thursday next week there will be an opportunity for Year 11 and then Year 13 parents to meet the teachers for the first time this year. Please take the opportunity to come into school and discuss your child’s progress with the subject teacher. This is a valuable opportunity for dialogue with the teacher.
Finally, you will be pleased to know that following the presentation of our prestigious award from DOET we have received many messages of congratulations from colleagues, parents and officials in the region and from Nord Anglia Education senior board members. We have also received some excellent media coverage for our school. Well done again to everyone for this success.
