This week in the Primary School
Christmas at BVIS
Christmas arrived at BVIS this week with a beautiful, sparkly tree in the Primary foyer and preparations for our end of term Christmas events. The highlight of the week and a very fitting finale to our busy term was the Year 2 production of “Kiki the Penguin saves Christmas and the World!”
All of our Year 2 children dressed in their wintery costumes to sing, dance and act in the performance on Friday morning, telling the story of Kiki the penguin and how she faces up to the problem of melting ice in Antarctica. In this charming story, she travels round the world learning about pollution and global warming. She encourages others to be more environmentally friendly so that Christmas can go ahead and to save our planet Earth.
This performance had something for everyone with penguins, polar bears, Santa and his elves, as well as the Prime Minister of England and our environmental ambassador Ms Lan who travelled to Antarctica herself last year.
Congratulations to all of Year 2 children and staff for a fabulous performance.
Thank you to all the parents who came to this event to support their children and to those who attended the Year 4 Lien Ket exit point on Wednesday morning.
