After the lovely send off given to Year 13 last week, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the secondary school would seem a bit empty and quiet this week, but not a bit of it!
Examinations are coming thick and fast and students are continuing to study harder than ever. For students in years 7 to 10, life goes on as normal, however, and normal this year seems to be our incredible sporting success. At the under 14s badminton championships, we once again had some extraordinary performances that you can read more about here:
Tomorrow we celebrate the formal graduation of our third and by far largest cohort of year 13 students. They are heading off to universities far and wide – the UK, USA, Australia, Japan, Germany… proving once and for all that A levels truly are accepted – and indeed highly valued – by higher education institutions globally.
With only five weeks left until the end of the school year, there are still plenty of activities coming up:
- Exams week for years 7-10 starts in just two weeks’ time, on June 6th;
- On June 9th, we are holding our second ever Sports Awards Evening;
- On June 10th the Year 13s will be playing host to the first ever BVIS Prom;
- On June 13th and 14th we welcome our Year 6 students to secondary for their transition days;
- That same week, our Year 11s go out on Work Experience.
There are also reports, The Orator and Dodgeball all coming soon so it should be an exciting and eventful final few weeks.
I wish you all a wonderful and peaceful weekend!
