Desford Colliery Brass Band Visit 03 June 2016 We had the utmost pleasure of welcoming the Desford Colliery Brass Band into school this afternoon and what a show they put on. Having had the privilege of watching the band in the Conservatory of Music last night, I knew the students would be amazed by such musical culture today. Some of our primary and IGCSE students were lucky enough to participate in workshops run by some of the musicians this morning, then, this afternoon, we had a wonderful performance. The band dazzled the students by playing a whole repertoire, including some of our students’ favourite songs such as Let It Go! Special thanks must go to Ian Alexander, Director of Music at AP2 and all of the guards and facilities staff who helped transport the instruments.
