As part of our collaboration with the world’s leading performing arts institute we welcomed Juilliard artists Jason Crimi and Michal Emanovsky to BVIS HCMC on Monday 03rd June 2019.
Jason Crimi has served as Associate Principal Trombone of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra for nearly 12 years. In addition to the SPO, he has performed with the Bavarian Radio Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra (DC), Boston Symphony, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore Symphony, Virginia Symphony and Macau Orchestra. He was formerly a frequent member of the Singco Rhythm Orchestra, an early jazz to WWII era jazz/swing group in the DC area.
Michal Emanovsky began playing horn in his native Czech Republic and in 1994 received a full scholarship to study at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in California with financial support from the Foundation for a Civil Society. Four years later, he was accepted at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where he completed his Bachelor of Music degree under the tutelage of Myron Bloom and Jerome Ashby. Michal concluded his studies at the Juilliard School in New York where he received a Master of Music degree in the studio of William Purvis.
Both talented artists lead special workshops and performance for our students from EYFS to Secondary. Their expertise, combined with our dynamic teachers, will have a positive impact on our children’s experience and connection to the performing arts.
