Buzzing was going on all over the Secondary corridor on last Friday 23rd September when we proudly welcomed our BVIS’s Alumni back to school! Our former students experienced mixed feelings as they no longer wear school uniforms, with an A Level textbook in hand, but they were thrilled to see their old teachers & other alumni. It was a lovely occasion for them to meet, greet and share about their exciting experiences in their new destinations and universities.
Henry, majoring in Physics at the University of Birmingham, UK said, “Following a British style education at BVIS allowed me to adapt very quickly at my university. I haven’t seen any difficulties in either academic life or personal life in the UK yet. Everything has been going smoothly and I love my experiences there!”
After having a buffet lunch together, our Alumni joined in an exciting school tour led by Mr Luke Curran – University Guidance Counsellor.
“Wow, there has been so many changes at school since I left after graduation. Though I liked the traditional red colour, these changes look amazing and bring such a trendy and nice present to each school corners.” said a BVIS Alumni, who couldn’t hide the excitement from her voice during the tour.
Since the announcement by Mr Curran about our Alumni visit, BVIS’s current sixth-from cohort were eagerly waiting for the Exchange Session with their seniors to learn further about university life and get some application tips. A fun Kahoot game between the two groups about Universities & Colleges facts commenced the event. Later on, our Alumni were divided into different groups based on their current destinations so that our BVIS students could ask questions about university life and challenges they might meet during application process.
