Transitioning from primary to secondary school is not always easy. Whether it is moving to a new campus or a new country; it is a journey full of excitement and sometimes fear of the unknown.
At BVIS, we understand that Year 6 students can sometimes be anxious about moving to Year 7 so a special day is provided at school towards the end of the academic year to expose the children to many of the changes they will encounter next academic year.
The Transition Day took place on Thursday 18 June 2020 in the Secondary part of the building, with Secondary teachers and senior members of staff. The children spent the day in their Year 7 house-based forms and a variety of activities such as Scavenger hunt, House banner design and one of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to visit the Sunken Garden café at breaktime! By the end of the transition day’s activities, Year 6 were clearly feeling excited about next academic year!
