A variety of physical activities
At BVIS, sport activities are designed and integrated harmoniously into the curriculum and after-school clubs. Physical Exercise is an essential part of student life but those with passion for particular sports can engage in after school classes, focussing on football, marathon, swimming, volleyball, baseball, basketball, badminton, table tennis gymnastics and more.
Through sports, we further the values of BVIS in becoming a community that values perseverance, caring, curiosity, and respect. Additionally, we provide training opportunities to the students who want to develop their leadership skills by becoming coaches of class members.
Teamwork spirit in House Competitions
There is perhaps no better example of teamwork and team spirit than in BVIS regular Sports or Swimming days. Students rally behind their teammates to create a charged atmosphere, willing their companions to the finish line towards glory and the thunderous cheers of their fellow students.
Ho Nguyen Minh Thi (Tamie, 16 years old), said that, “Taking part in sports and competitions between Houses helps me realize that the only way to win the prizes for my team is that everyone needs to cooperate and work together for their goal. I am confident that teamwork ability will bring me better opportunities in the future.”
Compete for national or international glory
BVIS takes part in and hosts a wide range of sporting competitions for students in their appropriate age range and holds friendly competitions with other international schools in Ho Chi Minh City.
As a member of FOBISIA, we also offer our students chances to compete overseas in international competitions. This helps them develop social skills and cultural insights, further enhancing their outlook on the world as fully developed global citizens whilst allowing them to compete against peers at the highest level of competition.
